Bringing People Together for Growth and Education
One of the main inspirations in creating 5 Elements Studio is to bring people and teachers together for growth and education in the various fields of health, nutrition, yoga, body therapy, spirituality and art.
Upcoming Workshops:
Introductory Yoga Workshops
Due to the size of the yoga studio all students must first attend a 5 Element Studio introduction workshop to be eligible to sign up for drop-in classes. Some people will prefer to take a workshop more then once or and others will quickly move through the different level workshops that are offered. This depends on each persons individual needs in the practice.
If dates are not currently offered for the level that is appropriate for you please email or call Loren to be added to a wait list.
Level 1 Intro Workshop: This is the most basic introductory workshop. This class is appropriate for those who are new to yoga and will be exercising for the first time (or the first time in a while). This class is also appropriate for those with special needs due to injury, or other problems. The pace of this class is gentle and special needs are addressed as best as possible.
Level 1-2 Intro Workshop: This workshop is appropriate for those who are new to yoga but are currently active with exercise. This class is also appropriate for those who have practiced yoga but are fairly new to it or those who are returning after a break from practicing. This class is not recommended for those who are recovering from injury or who have special needs.
Level 2 Intro Workshop: This class is appropriate for those who have attended a Level 1-2 workshop and have maintained a consistent practice and are therefore ready for a more vigorous practice with more challenging postures. This workshop is also appropriate for those who are coming to the studio for the first time and have had a consistent 1-2 year minimum practice with a teacher.
Level 2-3 Intro Workshop: This class is appropriate for those who have had a minimum of a 2-3 year practice with a teacher. This class focuses on a classical asana approach, pranayama and mantra. In this workshop we will practice sirshasana (headstand), sarvangasana (shoulderstand), halasana (plough) and urdva danurasnana (full backbend).
